Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 28, 2026

Overview

Rove ("we", "our", or "the app") is a safety and emergency services finder. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Collect

Location data — When you tap "Use my current location," the app requests your device's GPS coordinates. This is used solely to find nearby emergency services (hospitals, police, fire stations, urgent care, and embassies). Your coordinates are:

Manually entered locations — If you type a location instead of using GPS, that text is sent to Nominatim (OpenStreetMap's geocoding service) to resolve coordinates. We do not log or store your search queries.

Third-Party Services

Rove uses the following third-party services to provide its core functionality:

Data We Do Not Collect

Offline Saved Data

If you choose to save a location for offline use, that data is stored locally on your device using the app's private storage. It is never transmitted to our servers. You can delete saved locations at any time from within the app.

Children's Privacy

Rove is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
